I don't mind it - especially when I have options... such as flipping a switch, lighting a candle or oil lamp, or even... turning on a flashlight.
But - when I've no supply (because of MY lack of planning) of candles, oil or batteries, and there is a power outage, I can blame no one but myself. And, suffer the consequences of inconveniences and possibly.... stubbed toes. Once again, I resolve to re-supply.
It reminds me of my 'inner' lighting system. I must not allow the fuel supply to run low. “YOU, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light” (Psalm 18:28).
Is YOUR light burning a little low? How long since you re-supplied?
